HAMILTON, BERMUDA – The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) participated in its first Annual Community Day event on Thursday, 6 October 2022. The Authority spent the day cleaning up various parts of the island in support of Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB), one of the island’s oldest environmental nonprofits.
Craig Swan, the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, stated, “The BMA’s first Annual Community Day was a success, attracting over 150 staff members who demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact by rolling up their sleeves and cleaning up Bermuda’s shoreline. We were pleased to have the opportunity to engage and work alongside KBB in this coastal clean-up aligned with our dedication and continued effort to further integrate Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and sustainability into our jurisdiction’s regulatory frameworks and daily operations.”
