BERMUDA—The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) participated in its Third Annual Community Day event on Thursday, 3 October. This employee-led initiative unites staff for a day of volunteering to support charitable causes that promote social well-being and enhance the local environment.
This year, the BMA collaborated with five charities, allowing staff to choose the organisation they wanted to volunteer with. Over 200 staff members spent the day volunteering with and participating in the activity of their choosing, including planting and gardening at the Sherwin Nature Reserve, participating in gardening and creative projects with seniors at the Westmeath Nursing Home and cleaning up Bermuda’s beaches and coastal areas with KBB (Keep Bermuda Beautiful). Additional projects included a tag day with the Coalition for the Protection of Children and partnering with the charity Windreach to help with animal care and woodland management.
