Biography
Toby Mason is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Bermuda Monetary Authority. As COO, Mr Mason is responsible for the Authority’s operational strategic initiatives and operations function, including: Communications and Public Relations; Cyber Risk; Finance and Currency Operations; Human Resources; Facilities; Business and Operations Support; and IT. Mr Mason is a member of the BMA’s Executive Committee leadership team and oversees the Authority’s infrastructure to support organisational growth and improve results and efficiency across the BMA.
Mr Mason has over 26 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to joining the Authority in 2023, Mr Mason held C-Suite leadership positions for 15 years at American Express, ClearBank and Allica Bank, specialising in the banking and credit card market segments. His extensive experience in operations, finance, information technology, accounting processes and business development has spanned multiple financial jurisdictions, including London, New York and Singapore, as well as a global portfolio of operational departments at large multi-national organisations.
Mr Mason holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
