Biography

Meet Giselle, an Analyst in the Corporate Authorisations. We interviewed her to learn more about her reasons for giving back to the community. Take a moment to read her story.

Please provide the name of the initiative cause and how long have you been involved?

I have been a  Big Sister to a teenage girl for nearly three years as part of my volunteer work with Big Brother’s and Big Sisters of Bermuda

Why did you choose to support it?

Guiding a teenager can be challenging, but the experience has been great and very rewarding for both of us. We attend church, movies, lunch and have our girls’ spa days. Otherwise, we just relax and talk.

Overall, what is the charitable organisation’s mission and how does it make a difference to the people/cause it aims to help?

The organisation provides quality mentoring relationships to young people in need, helping them to reach their full potential.

What is your specific contribution to the initiative/cause and how have you made an impact to the people/cause it aims to help? 

I contributes about an hour a week to give my Little Sister the invaluable gift of friendship.
